Changes affecting the hvv Deutschlandticket
From 1.01.2025, the monthly price for your subscription will increase to € 58.
This means that the hvv Deutschlandticket still remains an attractive option which is not only valid within the hvv area, but enables you to travel all over Germany.
If you nevertheless want to opt out, it is no problem to do it. So that your cancellation can be effective as of 31 December 2024, you need to make it by 10 December 2024 .
Changes affecting the hvv Deutschlandticket with the social discount
From 1.01.2025 it is not only the ticket price which will increase, but also the social discount from the City of Hamburg. For you, that means your ticket will cost € 22.50, since the social discount, which will then be € 35.50, will be deducted from the regular price of € 58.
If you nevertheless want to opt out, it is no problem to do it. So that your cancellation can be effective as of 31 December 2024, you need to make it by 10 December 2024 (in German).

Changes for apprentices and trainees
- apprentices/trainees: From 1.01.2025, the monthly subsidy for the hvv Deutschlandticket for apprentices/trainees will be increased to € 23.20. That means for you that your ticket will then cost € 34.80.
- apprentices/trainees doing dual training courses: the subsidy here is paid exclusively by your employer as an element of a Jobticket. There will be a similar adjustment here to ensure that your ticket price will not be more than € 34.80.
As of the Winter Semester 25/26, the price for the hvv Deutschlandsemesterticket will be € 208.80 (34.80 euros per month) subject to there being no further price increases.
This pricing is based on the regular price of € 58 per month for the Deutschlandticket, of which students pay 60 %. Since the price for the ticket is always fixed eight months in advance for the entire semester, the new price will not come into effect until the coming Winter Semester 2025. That means that the price for the hvv Deutschlandsemesterticket in the Summer Semester 2025 will stay at € 176.40 € per semester (€ 29.40 per month).
